Dear Friends,

The 2010 Primary Elections this year was indeed unique and fascinating. The residents were very fortunate this election year as they had a whole slate of excellent and worthy candidates for District 7 County Council seat. I was proud to be one of those candidates this primary.

The Corkadel Campaign ran a great race. We motivated many voters to cast their ballots for Fiscally Conservative Solutions on September 14. Over 60 volunteers worked tirelessly to promote good governance and values that will ensure we all have a better tomorrow. Although our team did not secure enough votes to receive the Republican Nomination, we demonstrated that the residents of Anne Arundel County are united in ensuring our future is filled with hope and prosperity.

I want to thank each and every one of you for considering me for County Councilman. I have spent the last 13+ years working hard in the community to build a better future for our families and support our businesses. I will continue to work hard in the community each and every day. My passion has always been to participate in civic affairs and give back to my fellow neighbors in any way I can. I will continue to use my knowledge of the County budget and processes as well as my private and public experience to make certain our elected officials have the opportunity to restore economic health to our region while continuing the environmental and social efforts that make Anne Arundel County a great place to live.

The Corkadel Campaign set out to engage the residents of District 7 and share the Corkadel message of a better tomorrow for all of us. We demonstrated that thru hard work, dedication and unwavering commitment, we can achieve great things as a team.

September 14 was a great day for Republicans as our numbers were strong and our volunteer support efforts grand. Although I am disappointed that we did not win the Republican Nomination for County Council, I am very proud that we held a strong second place.

I know that our County, and the Republican party have benefited from our having made this campaign effort, as we registered new Republicans and re-engaged many who had become disenchanted by the political process over the years. I will always be grateful for the encouragement and friendship of so many wonderful people. I have been greatly honored and humbled by the confidence that you have shown in me, and have appreciated immensely your support and the support of many others.

I look forward to continuing to build on the successes of the past 18 months. Thank you once again for all you have done and will continue to do for the Republican party and Anne Arundel County. District 7 is richer for your investment in its future has been great.

Warmest Regards,

Michelle Corkadel
